Gentle Reminders: Day 1

This week you will receive some gentle reminders that you can use to encourage your soul. Sometimes when we are standing in the middle of the storm our vision gets blurred and we forget God’s truth, because of how overwhelming things are. 1 Thessalonians says that we are to “encourage one another and build each other up.” I pray that these reminders will encourage your heart and cause you to hope in God again.

God gives strength to the weak — Isaiah 40:29-31

Isaiah 40:29-31 says, “He giveth power to the weak, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Even youths — You who are young and in good shape — even you shall get weary and faint, but Isaiah tells us that the Lord “gives power to the weak and strength to those who have no might.” In weakness and weariness, “wait upon the Lord.” When you wait upon the Lord, He will renew your strength. You will mount up with wings like eagles; you will run, and not be weary, and you will walk, and not faint. That is what the Lord promises to do for you. When you are faced with trouble in this world, wait on the Lord and He will renew your strength. When you are being chastised by the Lord, wait on Him and He will renew your strength. Don’t get frustrated and believe the lies of the enemy! Wait on God and He will give you the strength to bear your burdens.

God gives power to the faint — He has enough strength, not only for himself but for you too.  He can easily strengthen you to bear all your burdens. To those of you whose faith and hope are on low right now, know that God promises to support you, even until the time of your promised deliverance. They that wait upon the Lord — That rely on him for strength to bear their burdens in due time; shall renew their strength — Shall grow stronger and stronger in faith, patience, and fortitude.

The Lord is inviting those who are weary to find rest in Him. Find rest in the Lord so your strength may be renewed. Find rest in the Lord so you may receive power to go again. You who are weak, accept the invitation of the Lord to rest and be renewed in Him. He is waiting to support you with strength and power.

  1. Thanks Angelisa. This is such a great reminder as this morning I was feeling a little condemned and weigh down. I just want to be free you know

    1. Yes love… I know. Remember that there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. I pray that this truth will bring freedom to your heart! Because of Christ you have been set free. You just need to accept your freedom and walk in it! 💛
