Whose voice will you trust? Will you trust your own, the voice of the enemy, the voice of those around you, or the voice of God?
In this season I want to encourage you to trust only the voice of God. Get to know His voice and trust what He says. Hang onto every word that comes from His mouth.
Many voices will be raised up in this season. Many will be calling good evil and evil good (Isaiah 5:20). Many will come in the Lord’s name, claiming that they are Christ (Luke 21:8). Watch out that you are not deceived. Make this year the year you intentionally get into the word. Make this year the year you intentionally learn the voice of God.
Those who know the voice of God for themselves, and are intimate with Him will not be easily deceived. Lean not on your own understanding or the understanding of others. I’ve seen where many Christians have submerged in this culture have a tendency to become lazy when it comes to activating their own ability to hear the voice of God. I can say this because I was once there. I relied on others to give me the new “Heavy Revey”. It is a very dangerous game. It sets you up to be malnourished in your own spiritual walk.
Learn to tune your ears to God’s voice and ask for discernment to understand what He is telling you and where He is guiding you. Don’t ever get to a place in your life where all you are listening to are the revelations that God has given someone else. Because when that happens, you cut yourself off from the life flow of the Spirit of God that He wants to pour in and through you.
If this is where you are now, you can make a change. Get into the secret place, seek after God and study the word. Ask to hear His voice. Seek to have an intimate relationship with Him, Knock on the door daily, and I can guarantee you that God will open doors before you that you never even dreamed possible.
Be blessed!
