Scripture:
“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” ~ Psalm 95:1-6
Reflection:
Today, let us pause and think about the goodness of God. Isn’t God good?! We all can agree that this year has been filled with stress, worry, and fear. And we can all agree that in some way, shape or form we experienced the goodness of God. God has been good to us, and for that, we should give thanks.
We have a choice; we can either choose to look ahead and see all the gloom and doom or we can give thanks and focus on seeing the blessings that surround us each day. Through thanksgiving, we can experience the peace of God that fuels true joy. Set your heart and mind to give thanks and truly appreciate the amazing love of God. Give thanks for His mercy and grace of the Lord, for from Him all our blessings flow!
In quietness reflective on the goodness and greatness of God. Honour Him today with your song of thanksgiving. Psalm 95 commands us to sing unto the LORD. Other nations sing unto their gods, let us sing unto Jehovah. Let us love on him, admire him, and reverence him. We are commanded to make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Lift up your voice and give thanks and praise to God, your abiding, immutable, and mighty rock. Praise God, in whom you have found deliverance and safety. Praise him with heart and with a voice from day to day. Praise Him for his goodness and greatness that knows no end.
