No, this isn’t a Nike commercial; just some encouragement to get you moving out of that slump that you are in. This pandemic has caused many of us to start dragging our feet and doubting the things that God has placed within us. Christians have grown tired, overwhelmed and uninterested in anything but the state of their mental health. Admittedly, not all Christians are at this place but the majority are. The enemy has been having a field day with the mind and many just can’t seem to get a handle on life.
My own personal journey and commitment have been a struggle since this pandemic hit. I felt like I lost my footing, I lost faith in who I was in God, and I just couldn’t seem to bounce back. My anxiety was through the roof with frequent panic attacks and the most obsessive thoughts. It’s easy to lose sight of who you are when the world is in chaos. Especially when there are factors such as poor mental health in play.
It is important to lean into God, even when we think we cannot see him or reach him. In your struggle, continue praying and continue pressing into His presence. Psalm 16:11 tells us that in his presence is fulness of joy and at his right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Press into that and while you’re at it, be reminded of the assignments you have been given to complete. Remember the souls who need you and the lives you have yet to impact. You can’t give up now.
As the year comes to a close, I want to encourage you to pick that half-completed plan up, dust it off, and just do it! Whatever your IT is commit and see it through. Take it one day at a time or one step at a time. Your future depends on it.
