I thought I’d share some affirmations with you from my devotional 31 Days of Affirmation for Teenage Girls & Young Adult Women. We all have a list of things to accomplish by whatever our deadline is. Getting to that deadline is hardly ever easy. It’s a journey filled with many obstacles and one major obstacle is that of comparison. Oftentimes we look at where we are in life, look at where we want to go, peek over into someone else’s journey then lose all hope. Where they are seems so much better than where you are and on top of that, it seems so effortless. Here’s my encouragement to you:
Experience life at your own pace. The lessons that are set for you to learn cannot be risked. Neither can they be learned by anyone else for you. You must embrace life and its lessons. Embrace change. Embrace lessons.
