Meditation: God Will Keep Us

God will keep us, this much I know! He has been faithful, and will continue  to be faithful. He has never failed us yet and will not fail us now. Can you say amen to that? Look back on your life. Take a trip down memory lane and tell me, has God not kept you? Has He failed you? Has he not been faithful to you?

A lot of us are losing sight; losing hope and even losing language for what is happening in our country and in the world. Be reminded of the faithfulness and goodness of the Lord. It would be best if we begin to think from a heavenly perspective. The word of God, which we live by reminds us that God will never leave nor forsake us. God will be with us through everything. In the midst of our most challenging times, He will either give us the grace to overcome or endure. When our strength fails, He will restore and refresh us. When our health is deteriorating, He will heal us.

There is hope for us. The righteous have never been forsaken. In Psalm chapter 27 King David said, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Beloved, remain confident that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Do not lose heart. Trust and believe that your good Father will find a way to show His goodness in your life.

In verse 14 of Psalm 27, David writes encouragement for us. He says, “wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Here King David speaks to you from the reservoir of His experiences. He encourages us to seek after God (wait on the Lord) and take courage in Him (be of good courage). Beloved, wait at the Lord’s door with prayer, wait at His foot with humility; wait on the Lord. I am confident that the Lord will come to those who seek him and trust Him. I am confident that He will respond to the cries of His people, and make a way where there seems to be no way. I am confident that the Lord will keep you. Shift your perspective to a heavenly one; there is hope for you in king Jesus!

Your confidence is not in man or in earthly vessels. Your confidence is in God and every word that He has spoken out of His mouth. God is not a man that He should lie. If He said that He would keep you then believe it. His promise still stands. Be encouraged today. You are still in the hands of the Lord.

“The Lord bless you and keep you. Make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. Amen.”
