A Reminder to Trust in the Lord

Today’s devotional is not in its traditional format but serves as a reminder to the body of Christ. When you are saved you accept Christ as saviour and take on His identity. You pursue Christ and aim to be Christ-like in character. It is a selfless and sacrificial journey that takes dedication and heart. Many start well but lose momentum along the journey and fail to finish well. Being an active member of society doesn’t make it easy either for there are temptation and challenges on every side.

God wants to remind you today to trust in Him. We are currently living through a crisis that many admit has tested their trust in the Lord. Fear has become closer than faith and many are seeking – through their own strength – to overcome the challenges of the time.

If you are feeling lost or uncertain in your Christian walk, I encourage you to hold on and trust in the Lord. Provers 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and lean not unto our own understanding. It goes on to remind us that in all our ways we should acknowledge him, and he shall direct our paths.

Meditate on this scripture today and tell God what’s on your heart. The clarity we seek is wrapped up in His presence. Spend some time with Him today not only sharing but listening. I pray you will walk away more secure and equipped than before. In all your way acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6
