Freedom is Submission

the anointed writer

“The Call to Freedom takes True Submission” is what God wants someone to hear in this blog post.

It is never an easy walk submitting to God in all His Glory. A Christian who is serious about this journey will tell you that it is not easy. The victory in the journey is a freedom that feels like bondage if you are not submitted.

What is Freedom in Christ?

Luke 4:18 King James Version (KJV)

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Jesus Christ is freedom. The world is selling such an ungodly version of freedom that promotes self in such a way that contradicts the nature of the relationship with God. Subscribers are buying bottled versions of freedom with labels screaming, “I can do all things by myself” while Philippians 4:13 tells you all to declare I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Jesus Christ is Freedom. The self-righteousness that the aforementioned ‘freedom’ proclaims leaves no room for Jesus. This ‘freedom’ is the root of your feelings of entrapment.

Ever wonder why you are serving God but your obedience feels like a cage?
Check your level of SUBMISSION.

What is Submission?

Submission is the state of Submitting. DUH! What submission really is, is the act of placing the requirements of God over what feels good to you based on your own level of self-importance. Submission is not being controlled but an act of service (please quote this and tag me). It is what you give to God as a means of honour, trust, and respect.

God does not have a hand in your life if you are not truly submitted.

You are not a puppet. God does not steer you without your knowledge and consent. He steers you with your submission. You have a say in the matter, as God is living through you.

Cage of Insecurities

You are locked in a cage of insecurities and you are asking the question “why me?” as it relates to your life. The requirements of your walk are confusing you because they don’t mimic what you think should happen. Self-doubt, comparison, social media expectations, neglecting God in reading the word and praying all mask the natural emotions of your process.

A Message from God

“God is not pleased with the lack of joy in his people. Many are losing their joy due to lifestyle comparisons on social media. They want to get married, go on vacations, and live the “happy” lives depicted on social media. The lives I have not designed for them.

Yes, I know the plans I have for you. Yes, you shall prosper but there is a process that cements these material things. Without the process, there will be no worth or joy. Without the process, there is no peace.

Wait I say, be of good courage. All that is due unto you is coming to you. Wait. Learn. Enjoy the process. The best is truly yet to come.

Patience + Prayer = Purpose

The journey is winding but the destination is sweet.”

A comparison is the Thief of Joy

Many Christians are comparing their lives to others’ on social media and it is uncalled for. You are all called to a unique life that cannot match anyone else’s. Your purposes are all different even with similarities. You all have different functions and operations in the body of Christ. Don’t be distracted by what everyone else is doing and the pace at which they’re doing it. Be at peace and focus on what God wants you to do. Pray and be in obedience in order to not miss his timing. Go! Your answers to freedom are on the other side.
