How the internet is responding to Michael Todd shocking saliva sermon

I never quite understood the public’s disdain for Transformation Church‘s leader Michael Todd. For the more reserved believers who stand firm to the idea that the biblical Word needs nothing added, Michael Todd may not be the preacher for you. The Tulsa pastor prides himself in elaborate, practical Sunday sermons in an effort to stay true to the organization’s vision which is to “re-present God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ.”

This past Sunday, in usual transformation fashion, Mike Todd went viral for his elaborate Sunday sermon titled – The Vision For Invasion. This time, however, with more backlash than commendations. In the viral clip seen below, Mike Todd spits in his hand and smears it in the face of one of his members.

On Monday, January 17, 2022, at 3:18 pm, Todd responded to the virality of the clip with this video:

It’s never my intention to distract others from God’s Word and the message of Jesus… even with illustrations! I apologize for my example being too extreme and disgusting! I Love Everybody 🧡 #REPRESENT https://t.co/YfzFmySCPe

  1. I feel like he could have used something else other than his spit to bring across the point. Maybe eggs or food instead of his Saliva. It’s too much for me.

  2. I understand the concept of, wanting to be practical with message and yes the church members might “understand, the way you do things” however be reminded that you are streaming on the internet which then gives any random person an invitation to (virtually) visit and they may not understand the “culture” of your church sir. furthermore, it does not even matter who the person in your demonstration is biologically to you; we are all in a global pandemic and thing spread fast in today’s society…Now you gone do a “simple demonstratration” and people see it, take it from a health perspective and go tarnish you name! Think sir! next thing, people out here too quick to cancel people nowadays but carry on. All the best to him with this because bwoy….Thanks for highlighting this cause I never know all of this a gwaan inna john shop!
