Prayer for a much grounded faith

Today, more than ever, there is a great need for us to be rooted and grounded in our faith. There is a need for us to not be easily moved. There’s a need for us to believe that come what may, all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

If today you need your faith to be strengthened, pray this prayer:

Abba, give me the gift of faith. I desire to be one whose roots are deep and grounded in you. Plant me like a tree with my roots deep in the soil, that is your word, so that I may remain immovable and not easily shaken when the storms of life come.

When the rainstorms and strong winds come through my life, then it’s this deep-rooted faith in you that will help me to stand firm and to stay strong. When the storms come into my life, help to remain rooted in you through the reading of the Bible, spending time in your presence, trusting you, and speaking truth over my circumstances.

I thank you for the circumstances that come, for according to your word, they come to build my faith. Give me grace and fresh perspective so that I can handle these circumstances well. Help me to know that I am not forsaken, but that you are with me through it all. Help me to keep my eyes and mind fixed on you, knowing that you will keep in perfect peace, those whose minds are stayed on you.

Abba, I want to be counted among those who endured to the end. Help me to persevere, and strengthen me in my inner man. Help me to run this race that is before me with endurance, looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of my faith. Help me to continue in faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that I have heard. Help me to endure to the end, for those who endure to the end shall be saved.

Help me to not become weary in my soul, and where I become weary, lead me to still waters, a place where I can be refreshed and renewed. When I grow faint, uphold me with your mighty right hand.

Abba, I know that you are with me, so help me to rest in this truth. In Jesus’ name, amen!
